Creating drawings in workspace
As the creation of drawings is an analytics workflow, the place to create and edit drawings is in the workspace. The workspace is the location for all file creation.
1. Ensure you are in a workspace.
If you do not yet have a workspace, please consult the location for the workspace creation.
2. Click on add.
3. Click on Drawing Layer.
4. Click on edit.
This gives you the access to the toolsets for the drawings.
5. In the edit mode it will open following Tools:
Select tool.
6. Polygon Tool.
This tool allows you to draw a polygon on the map. Take care though, this will not count as a vector or an annotation. It is simply a box on the map.
As a reminder - a vector can be a polygon, but also is enriched with attributes.
An annotation can also be a polygon, but an annotation polygon is used for annotating an object for data science workflows.
7. Line tool.
Draw a line on the map. Again, this is not a polyline vector.
8. Point tool.
Click on point and click on the desired location on the map.
9. Click on Text Tool
This allows us to place a label on the map. Click on the desired location for your label. The label will be the center point of the text.
10. Click on Delete.
This will allow to delete the drawing layer.
11. In this example a new drawing layer will be created by using different tools.
